Det Kongelige Norske Videnskabers Selskab - DKNVS
Selskabet ble stiftet i 1760 av biskop Johan Ernst Gunnerus, rektor Gerhard Schøning og etatsråd Peter Friderich Suhm under navnet Det Trondhiemske Selskab.
Fondet disponeres til å realisere formålet til Det Kongelige Norske
Videnskabers Selskabs Stiftelse, som er å fremme og formidle
vitenskapen. Fondet er øremerket komplettering av den samlingen av
norske skjønnlitterære forfatteres verker som Voll har testamentert
til NTNU Vitenskapsmuseets bibliotek, og holde den ajour ved innkjøp
(inkl. innbinding) av førsteutgaver av de forfatteres verker som
samlingen inneholder, samt av samtidige og av nyere virkelig
anerkjente norske diktere og forfatteres verker.
