Foreningen har til formål å spre musikk og glede for innbyggerne på Grue Finnskog. Korpset skal spille på tradisjonelle arrangement på Svullrya og omegn; 17. mai, Finnskogdager, andre arrangement. Korpset skal skal oppretteholde den lange tradisjonen med korpsmusikk i lokalmiljøet ved å holde regelmessige øvelser, viderutvikle korpsmedlemmer musikalsk og rekruttere nye medlemmer.
