Stiftelsen har som formål å styrke den helhetlige behandlingen av
somatisk syke pasienter på sykehus, med særlig vekt på barn og unge.
Formålet skal primært oppnås ved at stiftelsen skal arbeide for at det
i tilknytning til sykehus og lignende institusjoner blir bygget
Friluftssykehus som kan benyttes av syke og deres pårørende.
Stiftelsen vil i tillegg bidra til faglig utvikling av
Friluftssykehusene slik at de og naturen rundt kan benyttes som
behandlingsrom.
