Selskapets formål er å drive regionalt nærings- og utviklingsarbeid.
Selskapet skal bidra til økt samhandling, attraktivitet og
verdiskaping i regionen.
Selskapet kan også yte andre tjenester til deltakerkommunene, evt.
tjenester til andre enn deltakerkommunene, under forutsetning av at
slik tjenesteyting ikke endrer selskapets status som "offentlig
oppdragsgiver"/ leverandør av tjenester i "egenregi", slik at lov om
offentlige anskaffelser ikke gjelder i forhold til selskapets
tjenesteyting til deltakerkommunene. Pr. i dag antas denne
forutsetning å innebære at levering av andre tjenester/tjenester til
andre enn deltakerkommuner ikke må overstige 20% av selskapets
omsetning.
Næringsutviklingsarbeid, dvs. næringsservice, prosjektarbeid,
profilering og næringssektretariat for deltakerkommunene.
