Korets har som formål å være et kor-tilbud hvor det sosiale og gleden ved å synge sammen har like stor vekt som det musikalske resultat. Dette skal oppnås ved at koret : er åpent for alle som har lyst til å synge, er et aktivitetstilbud til sangglade mennesker i alle aldre som har fri om formiddagen, skal være et sosialt treffsted, skal assistere i det diakonale arbeid i menigheten, skal fremme sang og allsang ved regelmessige besøk på de kommunale alders- institusjonene.
