Å være et uavhengig og anerkjent selskap som på et høyt faglig nivå
skal tilby og utføre prøvetaking, analyser, konsulenttjenester og
veterinær-medisinske tjenester, samt annen virksomhet som etterspørres
av kunder eller eiere, herunder også deltakelse i andre selskaper.
Selskapets virksomhet omfatter også FoU og formidling av
FoU-kompetanse.
Laboratoriedrift innen mikrobiologiske, kjemiske og fysikalske
parametere, samt radioaktivitet; i hovedsak analysert på drikkevann,
mat og diverse miljøprøver. Fiskehelsetjeneste innen oppdrett, med
påvisning av sykdom, vannkvalitetsvurderinger og vaksinering. Også
rådgivning, oppbygging og kvalitetssikring i forhold til bedrifters
systemer for hygiene-, produkt- og miljøkontroll. I tillegg vil
selskapet drive diverse virksomhet som grenser naturlig inn mot de
nevnte områder, heurnder deltagelse i andre selskaper.
