Formålet med Hederskvinner Nordland er at vi vil bidra til å løfte fram og hedre kvinners innsats i samfunnet. Initiativet kom fra en gruppe damer som sørget for å stifte en organisasjon som kan drive frem arbeidet, ikke bare i Bodø, men hele Nordland. Vi har innledet et samarbeid med Bodø2024 Europeisk kulturhovedstad og håper andre interesserte i bygd og by løfter frem sine kvinner.
