SEKRETARIATET TIL DET ARKTISKE MILJØOVERVÅKNINGS OG VURDERINGSPROGRAMMET AMAP STI
Operating
Stiftelsens formål er å utøve sekretariatsfunskjoner for Arctic
Monitoring and Assessment Programmme Working Group og de underliggende
organer som denne måtte opprette, med mindre AMAP-WG bestemmer noe
annet. Virksomheten skal følge vedtektene til AMAP-WG, regel 10 og vil
omfatte:
- Forberedelse av møter
- Sekretariatsansvar under møter.
- Oppfølging av de vedtak som fattes.
- Knytte og videreutvikle kontakt med relevante internasjonale
organisasjoner, som er involvert i miljøovervåkning og forskning i
arktis, herunder International Arctic Science Committee, samt
- Andre oppgaver enten AMAP-WG eller dets leder gir til daglig leder.
Stiftelsen formål kan også utvidet til å omfatte
sekretariatsfunskjoner for andre arbeidsgrupper dersom dette vedtas av
Arktisk råd.
