Kultkalas sitt formål er å: a) gi publikum gode kulturopplevelser. b)
spre kunnskap om, øke forståelsen av og interessen for forskjellige
kunstformer med hovedvekt på musikk c) arrangere egne arrangementer av
høy kunstnerisk kvalitet. d) stimulere det regionale kulturliv og
interesse for musikk spesielt ved å skape en arena der lokale aktører
(kunstnere, musikere) kan møtes og bygge nettverk og utveksle
erfaringer. e) tilby visningsarenaer gratis der etablerte og
uetablerte aktører kan utøve sin kunst.
