Florø Filmklubb sitt formål er å fremme interessen for film som
kunstart og som opplysnings- og underholdningsmedium. Bruke film som
et historisk og kulturhistorisk hjelpemiddel. Fremme studiet av
filmkunnskap, dvs. vurdering og forståelse av film og filmens funksjon
i samfunnet. Dette søkes nådd ved å arrangere filmforestillinger i
forbindelse med foredrag, diskusjoner, studieringer og trykt
materiell.
