Nedre Bekkelaget til beste for byens beboere generelt, og Nordstrand
bydels beboere spesielt. Oslo Havnevesens areal på Nedre Bekkelaget
som ikke er relatert til havnedrift, samt Oslo Kommunes tilgrensende
områder som har naturlig tilhørighet til Bekkelagstunet.
Drifte Bekkelagstunet: skaffe leietakere, ivareta de verneverdige
bygningene, vedlikeholde utearealet og utvikle området. Skape
aktivitet på området; aktivitetskafè som skal gjøre hverdagen til
barn, unge og eldre bedre. Treffpunkt for nærmiljøet. Kultur, galleri,
arrangement og verksted. Ivareta og formidle områdets unike
kulturhistorie.
