Friluftsrådet skal i samarbeid med deltakerkommunene, andre offentlige myndigheter og organisasjoner, fremme allsidig og miljøvennlig friluftsliv i den regionen deltakerkommunene omfatter, til beste for befolkningens trivsel og helse.
