Foreningen skal fremme kattens status og rettigheter i samfunnet. Foreningen skal dessuten etablere et hjelpetiltak for katter i akutte nødssituasjoner hvor avliving er en reell fare. Hjelpetiltaket skal der kunne gi ulike former for økonomisk støtte til nødvendig livsfremmende behandling der hvor dette er nødvendig.
