Nasjonalkomite for De Forente Nasjoners Barnefond (United Nations
Children's Fund - UNICEF) og har som formål og oppgaver a) å være det
ikke statlige kontaktorgan for UNICEF i Norge; b) å drive
opplysningsvirksomhet om UNICEF; c) å arbeide for å skape
menneskeverdige levekår for alle barn i verden ved å skaffe
midler til dette arbeidet gjennom statlige og private bidrag; d) å
være rådgiver for statsmyndighetene i spørs- mål som blir forelagt
dem; e) å arbeide for og med UNICEF innenfor rammen av de avtaler som
gjelder mellom UNICEF-komiteen og UNICEF.
