Bestille ny musikk fra i hovudsak norske komponister, og lage
konserter og forestillinger for barn og voksne.
Selskapets primære aktivitet er fremføring av musikk i ulike
konsertsituasjoner. NyNorsk Messingkvintett skal spille konserter med
musikk i sjangrene: samtidsmusikk, klassisk og crossover/jazz, i Norge
og i utlandet. NyNorsk Messingkvintett skal bestille og fremføre ny,
norsk musikk av norske komponister. NyNorsk Messingkvintett skal i
hovedsak spille på konserter der de er booket inn av eksterne
konsertarrangører, som festivaler, kulturhus og
interesseorganisasjoner. (feks. nyMusikk, jazzklubber) De skal også,
fra tid til annen, arrangere sine egne konserter der de selv tar
billettinntekter. Salg av innspilt musikk (CD, vinyl, digitalt), men
da kun som en tilleggsaktivitet. Fremtidige plateinnspillinger vil
såfall bli distribuert av plateselskapet NyNorsk Messingkvintett har
intensjonsavtale med (LAWO Classics) og i solgt i deres butikk (både
på nett og fysisk) samt digitalt gjennom blant annet iTunes og
Spotify. Salg av egne plater på ensemblets konserter vil da også kunne
bli aktuelt.
