Foreningen har til formål å gi nødvendige tverrfaglige støtter til en avdødes familie og nærmeste i forbindelse med en verdig avslutning. Den har likeverdige holdninger for alle kulturelle folkeslag mot alle trosretninger. Formålet skal oppnås gjennom følgende aktiviteter: Aktiv deltagelse for å gi faglig støtte iht. nasjonale lover og regler samt kulturelle ønsker når det gjelder hvordan seremonien gjennomføres. Opptre som nøytral støttespiller for personer mot alle trosretninger. Foreningen har også til hensikt å drive næringsvirksomhet.
