Å samle inn gjenstander, bilder, muntlige og skriftlige beretninger
eller annen materiale fra krigshistorien med prioritet på å belyse
okkupasjonstifens historie i Nordland generelt og Bodø/Salten spesielt
og i tillegg krigsseilernes innsats. Å bidra til og arbeide for
bevaring av dette materiealet og bygninger og anlegg knyttet til samme
periode. Å gjøre dette tilgjengelig for publikun i alle aldre til
bevaring av det erfaringsmaterialet som stiftelsens materiale
representerer.
