Organisasjonen skal være en aktiv pådriver i trafikksikkherhetsarbeidet og følge nøye med i ulykkesutviklingen. Organisasjonen har et særlig ansvar for at trafikkopplæringen og informasjon om trafikksikkherhet blir gjennømført som et ledd i en samordnet innsats mot trafikkulykker.
