Avdelingen skal være et aktivt bindeledd mellom NRL sentralt og og
medlemsbedriftene.Avdelingen skal ivareta medlemsbedriftenes økonomisk
felles interesser. Den skal være NRL - bedriftenes næringspolitiske
organ overfor bl.a. lokale myndigheter, leverandører og kundegrupper.
Avdelingen skal arbeide for et godt forhold blant NRLs medlemmer og
mellom medlemmene og deres ansatte.
