Grendelaget har som formål å styrke lokalsamfunnet. Ved å organisere
ulike aktiviteter gjør grendelaget det mulig for folk å treffes og
dermed stimulere integrering, skape lokal identitet, og holde i hevd
kulturtradisjoner i dets krets og omegn. Utover det vil grendelaget
også fronte saker av allmenn interesse ovenfor kommune og fylket. Som
for eksempel saker som gjelder infrastruktur, bosetting, turisme mm.
