Selskapet sitt verkeområde er avgrensa til prosjekt/tiltak som
eigarkommunane har nytte av.
Selskapet har som formål å medverke til utvikling av Molderegionen,
slik at det blir en attraktiv region som tiltrekker seg kompetent
arbeidskraft gjennom satsing på: Fysisk infrastruktur (t.d. veg,
flyplass, sjøverts trafikk, breiband, vass- og gassforsyning).
Forskning og utvikling. Tilrettelegging for
næringsutvikling/samfunnsutvikling (t.d. generelle utviklingstiltak,
utgreiingar, industriområde, kunnskapsinfrastruktur). Videreutvikle
Nyhamna i Aukra som nasjonalt gassknutepunkt.
Støtte frå selskapet kan gjevast i form av tilskot, ansvarleg lån
eller aksjekapital ved bruk av grunnkapitalen og tilskotet frå
eigarkommunane. Bedriftsretta tiltak kan ikkje støttast.
Gassror IKS skal bidra til ei effektiv og samordna leiing av
interkommunale regionale tiltak innafor selskapets sitt verkeområde.
Medvirkning til utvikling av fysisk infrastruktur, næringsutvikling,
FoU og Nyhamna (gassutvinning).
