International Theatre Lab skal være et forum for forskning, erfaringsutveksling og utvikling for etablerte kunstnere på tvers av kulturer. ITLs målsetting er tredelt og tar henholdsvis sikte på skuespillernes utvikling, produksjon og publikum, med felles fokus på gjensidig utbytte og internasjonal utveksling av kunnskap og erfaringer mellom ulike teaterpraksiser.

Teatervirksomhet: Opplæring, kurs, seminarer for skuespillere, internasjonal utveksling av arbeidsmetoder og praksiser innen teater, produsere og samprodusere forestillinger, organisere gjesteforestillinger, oversette og markedsføre tekster for teater.
