Foreningens formål er å ta vare på et stykke historie i vår
kystkultur. Foreningen skal være åpen for alle, og skal arbeide aktivt
for å øke trivselen og styrke vennskapet blant medlemmene og deres
venner. Foreningen skal arbeide for at så mange så mulig skal får
muligheten til å bli glad i sjølivets gleder og oppleve den gode
rekreasjon som er forbundet med dette.
