Operating
Versting er en frivillig organisasjon som har sitt virkeområde lokalt
i Oslo og Akershus fylker. Grunnlaget for Versting ligger i en
erkjennelse av at musikk skal være en kilde til glede og mening, til
læring og personlig vekst, til sosial tilhørighet, identitet og
mellomkulturell forståelse for alle mennesker. Denne erkjennelsen er
knyttet både til musikk som egenartet kunst og kulturform og til
musikk som innhold i sosial samhandling. For Versting er alle sjangre
nesten likeverdige. Versting ble stiftet 27. oktober 2016 og er
partipolitisk nøytralt.
