Klubbens formål er å: Informere og arbeide for et riktig
hundehold. Være med og utvikle alle hunderaser som hører inn under
NHKF. Arrangere jaktprøver og utstillinger. Utdanne jaktprøvedommere.
Formidle kontakt mellom medlemmene og de respektive rasers avlsråd for
veiledning i avls og oppdrettsspørmål samt valpekjøp. Drive opplysning
og samfundsnyttig arbeid av kynologisk art. Arbeide for og fremme
human jakt og ansvarsbevisst ferdsel i skog og mark. Iverksette øvrige
tiltak som antas og gavne formålet.
