Formålet med samarbeidsorganet er å bidra til kvalitet i fag- og
yrkesopplæringen ved å støtte og bistå tilknyttede lærebedrifter i
gjennomføring av opplæring for lærlinger og lærekandidater.
Samarbeidsorganet skal: bidra til at opplæringen gjennomføres i
samsvar med opplæringsloven, opplæringsforskriften og gjeldende
læreplaner, fungere som et faglig og administrativt bindeledd mellom
lærebedrifter, lærlinger/ lærekandidater og fylkeskommunen, arbeide
for strukturert, forutsigbar og dokumentert oppfølging av opplæringen.
