Foreningens formål er å bevare og vedlikeholde fiskebåten Havørn.
Fremme kunnskap om kystkultur og fiskerihistorie. Støtte maritime
fritidsaktiviteter. Skal gjøres gjennom vedlikehold av båten, øke
forståelsen for betydning av fiskerihistorien gjennom turer og
foredrag, bruk av fartøyet til rekreasjonsaktiviteter som båtturer og
seilas for foreningens medlemmer.
