Stiftelsens formål er å fremme værekraft i mennesker og natur. Værekraft er et begrep hentet fra Anne Margrethe Lunds arbeid som beskriver egenverdien og kraften som ligger i enkeltmennesker og natur til å skape positiv endring.

Stiftelsen vil arbeide for et samfunn som utvikler seg innenfor planetens tålegrenser, og som setter god helse og reduksjon av ulikhet i sentrum. Stiftelsen vil kontinuerlig vurdere sine prioriteringer i tråd med samfunnsutvikling og forskning.
