Samordne arbeidet innen lokalmiljøet for å fremme forbundets formål. Støtte NFFs medisinsk forskningsfond, samt etter godkjennelse av Forbundsstyret, støtte forskningsprosjekter som vedrører fibromyalgi. Gjennom møtevirksomhet, kurs og andre tiltak å skape bedre kontakt mellom medlemmene. NFFs representant på lokalplanet og drive opplysningsarbeid om sosiale rettigheter og nye medisinske fremskritt om sykdommens årsak, utvikling og behandling.
