Være et kompetansesenter for FoU, kvalitetskontroll og dokumentasjon av trafikkonstruksjoners oppbygging, tilstand, samt drift og vedlikehold av disse. Vi skal ha kompetanse ift. det ytre miljø. Vi skal bidra til generell utvikling av disse fagområdene overfor medlemmene og aktuelle fagmiljøer. Målet skal nåes ved å fremskaffe kunnskap gjennom tre delstrategier: Utvikling, kunnskapsformidling og oppdrag.
