Stiftelsen har som formål å forvalte og videreutvikle den
intellektuelle arven etter Arne Næss, herunder eierskap og rettigheter
til hans samlede åndsverk. Stiftelsen skal gjøre hans verker
tilgjengelige, spre kunnskap om dypøkologi, ikkevold og relaterte
filosofiske emner, samt aktivt relatere disse tankene til vår tids
samfunns-, natur- og miljøutfordringer. Stiftelsen skal fungere som
katalysator for systemendring gjennom å inspirere til handlinger,
kulturer og strukturer som anerkjenner alt livs egenverdi.
