Stiftelsen skal ivareta retten for allmennheten til å benytte Aunøya
som friluftsområde, og legge til rette for aktivt bruk av øya.
Stiftelsen skal ogås bidra til å styrke kystkulturen i regionen og
lokalsamfunnets kulturelle identitet. Det skal tilrettelegges for et
bo-, arbeids- og/eller undervisningstilbud på Aunøya, fortrinnsvis for
barn og unge.
