Vi bevarer historien og gjør den tilgjengelig for samtiden og fremtiden. Dette gjør vi gjennom å forvalte eldre og avsluttede arkiver for 39 kommuner og fylkeskommuner i Viken, Vestfold og Telemark.
Selskapet skal være eiernes arkivfaglige kompetanseinstitusjon.
Selskapet skal forvalte, formidle og styrke eiernes arkiver, og med
dette bidra til måloppnåelse av arkivlovens bestemmelser og
intensjoner. Selskapet kan etter delegert myndighet, utføre
forvaltningsoppgaver knyttet til innsyn i eiernes deponerte arkiv.
Selskapet skal kunne fungere som regional arkivinstitusjon med alle
funksjoner knyttet til helhetlig samfunnsdokumentasjon.
Selskapet kan selge kompetanse og arkivtjenester til andre enn eierne
innenfor reglene for utvidet egenregi.
