I drift
Friluftsrådet skal i samarbeid med deltakerkommunene, andre offentlige myndigheter og organisasjoner, fremme allsidig og miljøvennlig friluftsliv i den regionen deltakerkommunene omfatter, til beste for befolkningens trivsel og helse. Friluftsrådet skal fungere som et kompetansesenter for friluftsliv for deltakerkommunene og andre samarbeidsparter. Friluftsrådet kan avgi høringsuttalelser og engasjere seg i saker av betydning for friluftsliv i deltakerkommunene. Konkrete arbeidsoppgaver og arbeidsdeling mellom friluftsrådet og deltakerkommunene fastsettes gjennom årlige arbeidsplaner som vedtas på representantskapsmøtet.
