Redd villreinen er en privat, uavhengig stiftelse som jobber for bevaring av den unike norske villreinstammen.
Stiftelsen har som formål å arbeide for bevaring av norsk villrein.
Formålet skal oppnås ved at stiftelsens grunnkapital og gaver og
bidrag ellers stilles til rådighet for å arbeide for å fremme
kunnskap om villreinen som kan bidra til god, kunnskapsbasert
forvaltning og sikre en livskraftig og sunn villreinstamme med
genetisk særpreg. Stiftelsen vil arbeide aktivt for å finansiere
forskning og kunnskapsutvikling som berører villreinen, herunder
sykdom.
